The Bay of Plenty Permablitz network started early 2012 in, when a group of BOP permaculture designers met Dan Palmer at the Australasian Permaculture Convergence in Turangi. The first BOP blitz was held in Katikati after a huge rainstorm on a cold wet Sunday in August. the enthusiasm started that day and has kept on growing since. We believe PermablitzBOP to be the first perpetual permablitz network in NZ and are proud to say it’s still growing!

Permablitz events were invented in Melbourne by Dan Palmer & Adam Grubb back in 2006.  By 2011 the Melbourne group had done over 100 blitz events and other groups had begun all over Australia.

Permablitz networks based on Dan and Adam’s idea have now begun to spread all over the world so fast, we cant keep up!… (Find out for yourself by googling it!)
